When the only access to these remote corners of Patagonia was by boat or seaplane, the visionary pioneer Primo Capraro, enchanted by the magnificent scenery, built a small wooden cabin which was overrun by friends, visitors and fly-fishermen. Thereafter it grew by stages into this excellent and modern hotel. In 1943 the main central structure with built with blocks of volcanic sand, granite, and cypress woodwork that for years was a landmark of the area. Nearly 80 years of history are reflected in each corner of Correntoso.
From each of the rooms and suites you will enjoy the best views of the mouth of the Correntoso River as it meets Nahuel Huapi Lake. Some of the beams and wooden frame-work of the old building have been preserved and combined with the comforts of the modern hotel.
They have 33 Rooms and Suites. The Suite – With the most beautiful view to the Nahuel Huapi Lake is the perfect place to relax and enjoy. Size: 28 sq. meters. The Junior Suites have a beautiful deck, overlooking the Nahuel Huapi Lake. Size: 27 sq. meters and the superior rooms overlook the Nahuel Huapi Lake. If you are traveling with your family you have the possibility to take this room connected to a Junior Suite. Size: 23 sq. meters.
