Patagonia
Hotel Rio Serrano, located on the eastern bank of the Serrano River, which is the border of the Torres del Paine national park. Due to its close proximity to the park it is classified as being ‘inside’ and as such means that you do not need to re-pay the parks daily entrance fee.
Rio Serrano has 56 cosy and soberly decorated rooms which are spacious, clean and comfortable and all are equipped with private bathroom, central heating and a panoramic view of the Paine Mountain Range.
They have created a lovely warm and almost boutique feeling here. The stone floors and warm rugs combine beautifully with the large windows and sublime views of the whole of the massif. Whilst the décor is simply laid out but charming, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The one drawback to staying here is the distance you need to travel to start any excursion, but these early starts give you the chance of seeing the first light in the park. These early starts are however compensated by being excellent value for money.
