Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro
The Santa Teresa Hotel is one of the few hotels with a government trust for historic preservation in the city, and as such it has gone through a long restoration process, aimed at preserving the mansion’s neo-colonial style.
The hotel is decorated with indigenous art, sacred art from Rio de Janeiro’s baroque period, and historical handicrafts from Minas Gerais and the northeast region. The hotel is surrounded by patios, gardens and terraces, and has 44 rooms ranging between 27 and 120m².
Over half the rooms have balconies with panoramic views of the Santa Teresa historical district of Rio. The hotel is known for its involvement in social initiatives within the local community, and you are invited to visit and take part in the projects.
You will find at your disposal a 25 metre blue slated pool, a “cachaca” bar, a restaurant with contemporary cuisine and a view over the Guanabara Bay, and a spa.
