Ananda Hotel

Ananda is a Sanskrit word that means happiness, joy; it represents the highest state of bliss and to reach Ananda is to reach the highest state of being. The hotel is adorned with colonial décor, brightly coloured paintings and plants in every corner.

The hotel is spread across four floors and its 23 rooms are broken up into: 9 superior rooms, 10 deluxe rooms (with either one King size bed or two Queen) & 4 Junior Suites. If you can push it, the junior suites are definitely worth it, but there is only a small jump from the superior to deluxe category, which is what we recommend.

The hotel is a couple of courtyards which contains pools, sitting areas, a bar and then there is the rooftop area, which contains a smaller pool and is the perfect place to watch the sun go down over colourful Cartagena.
