Jericoacoara has more than one reason to be considered a paradise. The place is a set of several different sceneries, placed together in a very beautiful and harmonic combination, which should not only be seen, but be felt. The intense contact with nature and the sensation of freedom that the place transmits is palpable. Everywhere and every place seems so wide and spacious, this is a place which will forever live in your memories.
Jericoacoara is a beach located in the northeast of Brazil, close to the equator in the state of Ceará. It was, until about 15 years ago, an isolated fishing village, without any contact with modern civilization. There were no roads, no electricity, no phones, no TV’s, no newspapers, and money was something almost useless, since deals were based on trading fish for goods.

It is a hard place to get to as the nearest airport is a 5 hour 4×4 drive away, but it is certainly worth it. Here you can go on long beach walks, horseback riding, windsurf or sand boarding. There are countless things to see and do, that sometimes it is hard to believe that they can be so different and yet be so close to each other.

Please be advised that Jericoacoara does not have any Banks or ATM machines to get cash. It is therefore recommended that you get enough cash in Fortaleza city for tours, restaurants and any extra services you may need
