Cafe Cultura

Quito
Cafe Cultura is a delightful mix of English tradition and contemporary trend. Sixty years ago, the hotel was home to one of Quito’s oldest families, after which it became the French Cultural Centre.
The building was carefully restored over a period of four years, with special detail given to maintaining the unique characteristics of the original interior. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, with secluded seating areas throughout. Conde Nest traveller magazine recently listed Café Cultura as one of the three reasons to visit Ecuador!
The rooms each have a distinct design to them. On the ground floor are rooms towards the back of the hotel. Here is where most of the original structure has been retained, so rooms vary in size. On the second and third floors is a complete range from loft conversions to completely renovated ones, but each with their own design.
Finally, their garden rooms of which there are two, both have a private wooden decked area in front of them, making them part and yet separate from the garden.
Cafe Cultura also has a lovely intimate little restaurant and a lovely small library with an open fireplace.
