Barefoot Caye
The Bay Islands
The Bay Islands
Their boat is on hand 24/7 to take you back and forth over the narrow channel which separates Barefoot from the main island, which means you are free to explore Roatan as much as you like without the fear of being stranded!
If you long for seclusion, wander down the wooden pier or stretch out on your private, sandy beach. The restaurant overlooks a stunning pool at one end of the Caye; all the villa’s and bungalows are situated around the curve of the other side.
There are 4 villas; 2 one bedroom villas and two, two bedroom villas. There are also 5 new loft apartments which are situated across the channel on Roatan itself. All of these are spacious and have a rustic yet luxurious feel making use of ebony and cream painted woods, stone surfaces and roll back shutters. They are designed to enable guests to be self-sufficient if they so wish, with complete kitchens including large stainless steel fridges and stoves. They also have LCD TV’s with DVD and air-con.
Snorkelers will be delighted by the lagoon which is teeming with sea life and two wrecks. And divers will be spoilt for choice as Roatan has arguably some of the best diving in the world and its just minutes away.
The staff here are friendly, fun and most welcoming; plus there are some truly lovely touches to Barefoot which make it stand out from the crowd. One example is that guests are given a mobile phone complete with 15 minutes of free service for the duration of their stay.
