This Bolivian itinerary takes in the highlights; the Amazon, colonial towns, the Uyuni salt flats and journey through the Solili desert ending in San Pedro de Atacama in Chile
As a guideline, the itinerary outlined below would cost approximately £4,830 per person based on two people travelling and includes all activities on a private basis unless stated, private transfers, internal flights in Bolivia, entrance fees, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.

Day 1 | Fly to La Paz. Met on arrival and transferred to the Europa Hotel hotel for 2 nights in an executive double on a b&b basis. Afternoon free for personal exploration and acclimatisation. https://www.latinodyssey.com/bolivia/europa-hotel |
Day 2 | Morning free for personal exploration and acclimatisation. Met in the afternoon for your half day excursion of La Paz where you will visit the famous Witch Doctor’s Market, San Francisco Colonial Church and the typical handicrafts of the Sagarnaga Street. Following the markets you will visit the Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress buildings are located. Continue to the famous colonial street Jaen where the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of the Tiwanaku Culture is located. This is then followed by a visit to the unique Moon Valley, where passengers will have the opportunity to walk around, and visit a ceramic workshop with a demonstration of the art of pottery. |
Day 3 | Met and transferred to the airport for your flight to Rurrenabaque situated on the edge of the Beni river in the Bolivian Amazon. Met on arrival and transfer to the safari hotel for the night on a b&b basis. Afternoon free for personal exploration. Day 4 | Met at your hotel and transferred by motorised canoe to Chalalan lodge (5hrs) for 4 nights on a full board basis. Transfer on arrival by foot (30 min) to your lodge situated on the edge of Lake Chalalan. Day 5-7 | 3 full day of activities inside Madidi National park, all supplied by the lodge. Trips include nocturnal walks, nature walks, medicinal trails and canoe rides, |
Day 8 | Met and transferred back to Rurrenabaque where you will transfer to the airport for your return flight to La Paz. Met on arrival and transferred to the Europa hotel for the night in an executive room on a b&b basis. |
Day 9 | Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Sucre. Met on arrival and transferred to the Parador Santa Maria hotel for 3 nights in a junior suite on a b&b basis. Afternoon free for personal exploration. Day 10 | Met for your full day visit to the famous Tarabuco market. Known for its diverse range of hand woven textiles and also the unique Tarabuqueno styles of dress where men wear short trousers, sandals, elaborately woven ponchos and decorative monteras (leather hats). |
Day 11 | Met for your half day visit to the Indian community of Jatun Yampara. This community is one of the oldest living cultures on the continent, and the project aims to rescue, preserve and protect the identity and the cultural–artistic values of the Yampara culture. Here you have the chance to make ceramics and textiles as well as sowing and harvesting of agricultural produce. Afternoon free to explore Sucre. |

Day 13 | Today is spent driving across the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world. You will visit Inkawasi island, located in the heart of the salt flats and containing hundreds of cacti, some of which reach up to 8 metres in height. Day 14 | Met in the morning for your drive to San Pedro de Atacama. You will drive across the Sioli desert with its range of volcanic rock formations before reaching Hediona Lagoon where you will see flamingos. Continue to Laguna Colorado, a red lagoon due to the sediment in the lagoon and home to 3 species of flamingo. After lunch your next stop is Laguna Verde, which gives an impressive green colour due to its high magnesium content. Passing a range of geysers you will reach the town of San Pedro de Atacama in the late afternoon. Day 15-18 | 4 days to explore this fascinating region. You could do some of the following 1. Early morning (04.00am) depart to Tatio to observe the geothermal phenomenon of Geisers situated at 4.100 metres. Breakfast at the geysers. Afterward we will return to San Pedro to soak in the Puritama hot springs, return to san pedro for lunch (not included). Afternoon visit to the Valle de la Luna (Moon valley) to watch the sunset. 2.Full day tour through: Atacama salt flat, Chaxa salt Lagoon with flamingoes, Toconao, Jerez, Altiplanic lakes of Miscanti and Meniques and Socaire with lunch.Return to San pedro at the end of the day 3. A day of horse riding/mountain biking through the pre-Inca Andean towns of Pukara, Quitor and Tulor. 4. Climb one of the many 5,000 metre plus mountains in the region, from one day treks to 4 days – camping. |
Day 19 | Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Santiago, where you will connect with your return international overnight flight to London arriving on the 29th. |
