This pure Panama itinerary takes in the most interesting and beautiful parts of the country, from Panama City, Bocas del Toro and the archipelago of San Blas.
As a guideline, the itinerary outlined below would cost approximately £4,740 per person based on two people travelling and includes all activities on a private basis, private transfers, internal flights in Panama, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.

Day 1 | Fly to Panama City. Met on arrival and transferred to the Canal House for 3 nights in the Gautan suite on a b&b basis. Afternoon free for personal exploration. https://www.latinodyssey.com/panama/the-canal-house |
Day 2 | Met and transferred to Balboa Harbor on the Pacific side of the canal. There you will board a Panamanian ferry for a canal transit. As you approach the canal, you will be able to observe the Bridge of the Americas. Breakfast and snacks are included while you are aboard the ship. An English-speaking guide is onboard the ferry and will narrate the dramatic history of the building of the Panama Canal, which was completed by the US between 1904 and 1914. A full crossing is scheduled allowing you to enjoy the cruise all the way to Colon City on the Caribbean Coast. You will reach Colon around 5:00 PM where you will be met and transferred back to your hotel. |
Day 3 | A free day for personal exploration. The city has a lovely colonial quarter ideal for exploring on foot. We would recommend making your way to the Casco Viejo part of the city to walk the cobbled streets and visit the presidential palace. |
Day 4 | Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Bocas del Toro. Met on arrival and transferred by road and speedboat to Punta Caracol Acqua lodge for 4 nights on a half board basis. https://www.latinodyssey.com/panama/punta-caracol |
Day 5-7 | 3 days free for personal exploration and relaxation. You can snorkel directly from your room, alternatively kayak around the peninsula. |
Day 8 | Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Panama City. Met on arrival and transferred to the Canopy Tower lodge for 3 nights on a full board basis including all activities. Day 9 | The lodge used to be a US watch tower and then an observatory and has now been transformed into a superb birding lodge. You will hopefully see some of the following birds directly from the lodge; Green and Red legged Honeycreepers, Green-shrike Vireo, Blue Cotinga , Scaled Pigeon, Mealy and Red lored Amazon, Keel-billed Toucan, Chestnut-mandibled Toucan. The lodge includes a range of activities for birders and non birders alike. |

Day 11-12 | The San Blas offers two unbeatable attractions: an opportunity to visit the villages of the San Blas Indians to learn about the fascinating Kuna culture and to visit pristine, picture-perfect tropical islands covered with white sand and coconut trees. |
Day 13 | Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight back to Panama City. Met on arrival and transferred to the Canal House for the night in the Gautan suite on a b&b basis. |
